New building and i love it
Great building. New and clean. The location is great as well. Sheridan college in general is one of the best.
This is where business happens. I am proud to be apart of this campus.
Great place for learning about finance.
Normally I do no write reviews but this summer I signed up with them and it was seriously a waste of time and a disappointment. I hope the government does not support them because they clearly do not review the job postings on their site. For example there was one I found looking for 18+ females at a place called 'blue lagoon spa' but I thought since it wasn't kijiji it couldn't be that bad. I was wrong. Their website was non-existent and it was very sketchy. Also a parking attendant job they emailed me about was very badly organized. I stayed up until 4am because the company at the last minute sent out the application and instead of informing me I didn't get the job, they had me wait for a week and then when they sent out the schedule my name was not on there. I am in university and was not able to find a job for four months and they were one site I kept checking. Go to another employment agency if you're looking for a good job.
I'm in my second semester right now! And I am having the worst time here! Like I missed 2 of my midterms due to a medical condition, and these guys wont even help me out! DONT CONSIDER TAKING THIS COLLEGE!
This is a response to Michael Chen's review:
This is an absurd statement and line of thinking. You aren't going to receive simply an engineering education at any of those schools without having to study other courses. They may seem like they have nothing to do with anythin, except the example you point out will actually be relevant when you get an actual job. Also, it is a post-secondary requirement for degree students at the college level across the board to receive a diverse education, including liberal arts and other breadth courses. Do your research on the importance of this well-rounded education and stop thinking in such concrete, black-and-white thinking. This black-and-white thinking is EXACTLY WHY YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE COURSES OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. Even employers in your potential field want you to be able to think and analyze in different ways.
Anyway, I enjoyed my two years at Sheridan. Your post-secondary experience is only as good as you make it with a school of this size. The Social Sciences and Psychology courses are a hidden gem in this "Arts" school.
Really, truly depends on what program you're in. If you're considering doing an undergraduate degree here, then definitely talk to people in that program as they can be really hit or miss.
good experience. i took couple courses for continuing education.prof k ows what they are doing and try hard to teach materials
you can tell they don't invest too much money into the Davis campus, crowded most of the time and no where to sit. The other campus' are very appealing in general compared to it
probably the worst education you can receive hands down. poorly structured program, rude and impulsive professors who don't care treating their profession as a job on the side. If you are looking for professors who care, If I were you I would be looking at other schools to attend. BTW this school is really corrupted. They only want your money.
I'm honestly writing this review because of a friend of mine I met in the nursing program at the Davis location. I strongly feel this program has many inconsistencies. From lowering students marks by adding two extra marks on a midterm that you cannot get, OSCE exams (i.e. prompting some students but not all and affecting the results), profs not listening to student advocating that they did a skill or step in an exam and the profs denying it... Most of all... the clinical instructor my friend had. Without warning or proper documentation this instructor stated that she was failing her when in fact she handed in all the assignments which was satisfactory, kept telling her she's passing, changing her midterm mark from passing to failing... Very unprofessional. This instructor has also made racist remarks towards international students, bully students and favors them. This personally has not affected me, but I feel that this behaviour from a clinical instructor ESPECIALLY in a nursing program is just truly unacceptable. If I knew how this program was being regulated I would have applied somewhere else. I truly feel strongly about this. My friend did not deserve to fail and not be notified ahead of time for room for improvement. Profs and instructors need to be encouraging and approachable. Sheridan, please do a better job regulating who works at your facility. That clinical instructor clearly has no passion or care for teaching nursing students and should be terminated for disgusting behaviour.
Horrible school, withdrew from Vet Tech. At Davis Campus. Some teachers did not know how to teach. Unorganized program with extra exams never mentioned before the orientation in September. Also didn't help students find placements so I was 3 weeks late starting placement for second semester. The only reason I am giving it a star is the awesome admissions department which I got the chance to meet awesome people, and the fact that they do not keep animals in house for practice.
One of the best Architectural school in Canada. Had a wonderful experience. Great professors, many of them kind and understanding. If you want to succeed they have the tools and people to get you there.
International tuition is very high but worth it.
I've been here since 2013 and I have to say, The Profs. treat you pretty well! The people are mostly nice (often get the preppy art people who think they are better than you) BUT its real easy to build a friend group and community!
Graduated with Honours in 2004. BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE!! PROUD ALUMNI MEMBER. THANK YOU SHERIDAN COLLEGE. (TRAFALGAR CAMPUS)I
It is so amazing. The first thing you notice walking into campus is the feeling that you belong. Very welcoming. Although had trouble with timetables, but this school is still amazing
Headed into second year in BA Game Design, this place is amazing. Our program is to new to have graduates but the success stories form our third year students are beyond what I could have hoped for. The tech we have access to is top notch, and the professors REALLY know their stuff. Several of the professors are actively working in our field as they teach. Not to even mention how much pizza we eat....
It's as if as though, the professors work together to purposely make school stressful. In the Engineering Programs at Davis Campus, we're required to take courses that have nothing to do with the program that we're doing. FOr example, Cultures in the Canadian Workplace and Electricity. We'd also have lab reports and unit tests for all our classes in the same week which is incredibly stressful in many ways. Exams are an exception, but not unit tests. They should spread out the times of tests and make due dates for assignments further apart. I feel like the professors purposely do this to make us feel stressed and don't want their students to succeed. I would highly suggest you save your money and go elsewhere. Georgian or Fanshawe are better options than Sheridan.
Hi guys. I'm planning to take up manufacturing management graduate program of one year, I need to know how is this program in this college and how is the job placement and job opportunities after completing this course. Please give your valuable suggestions
Thai express was an addiction for a few semesters, internet is pretty good throughout with lots of places to work and chill out.
Sheridan is a one of the best college and co oprative. seriously suprb
DO NOT WASTE MONEY.... Diploma is useless! Professors have no real life experience in the fields they teach save for a few. Most are hired directly from graduating from the programs they teach...from Sheridan. Then they teach irrelevant drivel that was obsolete 10 years ago. Now not all Professors are like this, but the one I was so lucky to have teach Java in the programming course I took definately was.... And yes I did graduate . They promise help to find work after you graduate but that help for me was limited to... "you should volunteer to get experience to get work".... My understanding is that maybe the diploma I received should be worth something? Considering the thousands of dollars i paid for it? That maybe it should provide some sort of leg up on getting a career in said field... but it does not.... Truth be told go to a university as Sheridan is trying to become one. Do not waste your money here like I did....
Continuing Education course at Davis campus
1. poor communication prior to class start - I was advised that room # would be posted on first night of class but did not indicate that the posting would only be in one building - and no prior information of where this one building would be
2. poor instructions for parking - great to know that you have a pay-by-plate policy in effect - but no clear explanation of how it worked)
3. poor signage in the buildings - the arrows are more confusing than helpful
4. poor air circulation in classroom and in general poor classroom design - neck, shoulder and back are hurting from having to constantly turning to face instructor then projected slides
Stayed at the residence complex about three years. It was a pleasant experience overall, except that I wish they had water hoses in the restrooms. The place is clean, quiet with plenty of space to roam around. The cafeteria is okay, they could have more food choices. Overall, I could recommend for a short stay especially if you will be lurking around Brampton area.
This campus is beautiful but I'm putting 3 stars because the Media Fundamentals is a RipOff, they said I had to take this in order to enter BFTV wich at the end is a complete lie...I payed a huge amount of $$ and learned nothing because I already had knowledge of these subjects, the only class I truly loved was classes with Jack W, I'm glad I met him very admirable character and professor but still I think this course was unessential to my entry to BFTV
Its amazing for film
most awesome place to get art supplies and the best people, merry christmas to all the staff esp. fran she is the best ever
everything is fine except security.
